North Shore--August 2009: Birthday Girl

Kenzie enjoyed a moonlit, lakeside birthday party with her friends, Hanna and Franki and her family. Note her new cell phone (she has such awesome parents). Kenzie also enjoyed wearing her birthday tiara throughout her day. I think I'll get one of those for when Natasha turns 40.....(in 10 years). The privileges of turning 13 included a trip to the north shore for her birthday party, her Facebook page and a cellphone with texting.

Kenzie brought her friends, Hanna and Franki, to Blue Fin Bay to celebrate her 13th Birthday. They all had fun...and didn't drive mom and dad too crazy.

Katie is clearly one of my favorite subjects to photograph. She loves her walks with her daddy and I love to capture her in her spontaneous moments from laughter to crying.

Duluth 2009--Midnight Walk to Wisconsin

They say if you do things twice in a family it becomes a tradition. So now for the second year in a row, Jake, Kenzie and I have taken our "annual" walk across the Aerial Lift Bridge into Wisconsin. They also say that nothing good happens after midnight, that is unless Dad is close by to capture whatever happens on camera.

Fun on the Farm

The kids' annual trip to the farm was complete with trips to Walnut Grove to visit Plum Creek and the Laura Ingalls Museum, Currie, MN to visit the End of the Line Railroad Museum, Bible School, rock painting, exploring in the woods and a bit of this and that. I'm not sure who and why, but they named two of the trees in the grove, one "Broccoli Tree" and the other "John the Hobo Tree", both









Jacob enjoys roasted marshmellows.

Railroad Museum, Currie, MN

Every year, the kids look forward to their annual trip to the End of the Line Railroad Museum in Currie, MN. As you can see, the museum is quite interactive. The beautiful photography is Kenzie's handiwork.
